Parents who devote time to their children even when it is not demanded by glaring misdeeds will perceive in them subtle needs for discipline, to which they will respond with gentle urging or reprimand or structure or praise, administered with thoughtfulness and care.

not ignoring people or making them feel unworthy of a reply is the simplest indicator of human decency and being able to see beyond your own reference point and convenience.

this concept of prevenient grace becomes all the more beautiful when many a times the impulse to turn to God arises after a sin is committed. so after we've rebelled against him, he sprouts within us the desire to turn back to Him. God is so Great.
