A TL;DR of Riot’s investigation from VCT Pacific Kickoff: > Sylvan and Lakia’s improper headset usage had already been flagged and was under investigation before the public outcry. > Review was thorough: matches rewatched, timestamps checked, voice comms listened to, in-game decisions reviewed, and cross-checked against on-site Korean casters. > Conclusion: it did not constitute cheating, but improper headset usage was still found on two maps total. > Sylvan and Lakia received formal warnings, with harsher penalties possible for repeat offenses. > No other cases or repeated pattern were found. > The issue was still unacceptable, should’ve been caught earlier, and referees have since been retrained. > There were also claims it was happening rampantly throughout Kickoff. > To address that, all Kickoff facecam VODs were reviewed, every match, every map, round by round, and no other instances were found.
