Al-Hilal submitted the complaint on February 5, accusing the player of unilaterally terminating his contract without a legitimate reason, describing it as a clear violation and circumvention of regulations. His contract was due to expire on February 6, but Al-Hamdan informed the club via email of his decision to terminate it. Forty-eight hours before the winter transfer window closed, Al-Nassr announced the signing of the 26-year-old on a free transfer. Since joining Al-Nassr, Al-Hamdan has made 10 appearances, scoring four goals and providing one assist.
