eBay win: read it cover to cover asap. What a Doylean treasure trove of tantalising info & fascinating ephemera it is! Going to re-read it again & this time take notes - something which ACD says is essential when reading - but I failed to note that quote first time round 🤣🫣😩

Been reading the latest @DoyleEdinburgh Works of Conan Doyle with the old @OxUniPress ed as it’s great to revisit Richard Lancelyn Green’s more in-depth extensive, speculative notes… got his ‘memorial’ book from SHSOL & read cover to cover - what an inspiration RLG still is ❤️

OTD in 1890, Chamber's Journal began serialising #ArthurConanDoyle's 'The Surgeon of Gaster Fell,' a story of madness, as discussed in Episode 50.

OTD in 1932, Universal Pictures' adaptation of #ArthurConanDoyle's 'The Lost Special' began serialisation. It transposes the story to the American West, with major changes. buff.ly/3OOEpc1

Oh.My.Word. What.A.Book😍 Hesitated to get this fabulous ‘Sherlock Holmes in 221 Objects’ book for quite a while! The Holmesian title put me off but it’s full of Doylean treasures to drool over 🤩 Massive thanks to Glen Miranker for sharing 👌

Currently reading this… Bit expensive but Twas a recent birthday present 😘 Really enjoyed the first couple of chapters, as I’m liking the Doylean-era angle the author has taken to re-appraise such familiar stories… Very nicely produced by @EdinburghUP 👌 What do others think?
