As of now, it seems like Anand Ranganathan is one of the only so called ‘Indic renaissance’ public figures / celebs who is actually calling out issues. Also one important point. There are a lot of people who think rabies will be gone if dogs are gone. Rabies is caused through other animals as well like monkeys,cats,ferrets, raccoons etc etc. So rabies is not going anywhere even though the dogs are gone! We also don’t have a proper mechanism to segregate bite cases. In India, monkey, cat bite cases are also counted under dog bites. This is how bite cases are highly inflated in our country, AIIMS RTI proves it 👇👇

Stop reducing Hyderabad to “City of Nawabs.” It’s the most overused and least accurate tag for this city. Hyderabad carries centuries of Indic heritage, local traditions and civilizational depth that can’t be boxed into a borrowed narrative.
