CM Dr @himantabiswa ceremonially opened Swaraj Udyan, built with ₹159 crore in an area covering 175 bigha land in Jorhat. The park significantly features memorials of freedom martyrs of North East as well as heritage pieces of old Jorhat Jail.

As part of the transparent & merit-based recruitment process, CM Dr @himantabiswa distributed appointment letters to 5,754 candidates from Education & Power Department. With these appointments, total number of candidates appointed to government jobs has increased to 1,64,423.
