It's frustrating but it's the reality of the health service in Ireland. The person I spoke to at the hospital this morning said he has no idea when the surgical day unit will be back in action and so I like hundreds of others wait and wait and wait. #cancer #cancerreality #tnbc

I had a migraine come on fast last night. It was a blinder. Still suffering the after effects today. I’ve never had a #migraine apart from when on #chemotherapy. I’m assuming this one is as a result of the #immunotherapy earlier in the week. Oh the joys of #cancertreatment

Terrible to learn that from next Sat 16th of September, vehicular access to Castletown will be via the Celbridge Avenue entrance only. Access from the M4 side of the estate will cease at 22.00hrs next Fri 15th of Sep. Very disappointing it has come to this. @castletownOPW

Last night I broke my femur. I was sitting on my bed and twisted to get some of my apple juice. I had asked about twisting in bed and laying on top of my leg. I was informed I was fine as long as I didn't bear weight with it. Well tonight I I twisted to get a glass of apple juice off the table and heard a loud snap. My femur head had broken off. I'm not sure what will happen next

@jacgorelick @Radiobites @KarenDeBonis Awww mannnnn I just had a double mastectomy. Jeez I wish I knew this for the 6 years of intensely painful mammograms on my left side. My boob was just so sensitive from all the radiation 🙄

@Radiobites They are a soft pad you can place between your breast and the plates. It lessens the pain a bit and feels softer. I've never used them, but have a friend who did. There is an article in this thread by @KarenDeBonis about them. I'll find it!

I learned today that you can REQUEST a small needle called a butterfly🦋 and it doesn't hurt at all to get blood drawn. Add this to the mammogram pads you can request to reduce pain and {shouts into the void} WHAT OTHER EASY PAIN REDUCTION MEASURES CAN WE REQUEST IN MEDICAL CARE?
