@Nickyhants Cheer up Nicky, keep positive. Maybe suggest to the care home to create a couple of Covid friendly rooms that separate residents from visitors. At least they can see you even for a short visit.

Feeling a little low today. Not seeing parents for so long as they are in homes is tough and almost feels like a bereavement. I get to Skype dad but mum can't handle the phone or Skype with her dementia. Maybe I just need a day trip up north!

No deaths in my dad's care home this week (got to hope it continues now and I've not jinxed it) and we've started a new family jigsaw, which looks as hard as the last one.....

Feeling a bit stressed following an email about the number of Coronavirus cases and deaths in my dad's care home. So far he is OK but feel so sad for people there. Carers and other residents. He had made lovely friends there. Nothing I can do so I'm going to try and meditate 😥

@Nickyhants The staff are in a difficult situation no doubt but to tell relatives not to ask about their loved one would be hard to deal with. If they were transparent, maybe they would not get so many questions. It's difficult for everyone, but management should do better.

@mysokoni Thanks Ray. I'm lucky mum's carers have decided to stay onsite and not leave the home since their first case but dad's home seems to get more weekly. They aren't being transparent and we've been told not to ask as it will upset the staff and residents!!! We are at their mercy!
