MICHAEL JORDAN’S EASTERN CONFERENCE FINALS OPPONENTS STRING: THIS IS ELITE? 🧵 We hear all the time about how Jordan’s opponents in the East were so much harder than Lebron’s. Take a look. These are the Conference Finals opponents. Beating this doesn’t make you the GOAT. 1/

@Leftybenchplaya @SwipaCam Here we go. You guys lose, and you make it personal. I’m sorry you view Lebron as not human. That means, by definition, he’s the GOAT.

@Leftybenchplaya @SwipaCam Lebron didn’t shy away. And, let’s say he did. So what? He’s 26. Not 30. Jordan stopped shooting at the same age vs Detroit Lebron got better. Why is LeBron the one athlete not allowed to get better after 26? Why isn’t he allowed a bad series? Jordan had them.

@MythNix @SwipaCam i literally don’t care about this. i told u everyone chokes. but not everyone shys away when it goes and gets tough. unfortunately lebron ran from the moment in 2011. even kobe ran at one point. u can’t say that about players like mike.

@Leftybenchplaya @SwipaCam Yeah, it’s a,axing that you think he’s so conditioned he’s not human any longer. Like….what a mess. He was doing what NOBODY had ever done. Deal with it. “Lebron isn’t human” isn’t exactly a great argument against his being the GOAT.

@MythNix @SwipaCam lebron is the most conditioned athlete at this time and it’s not even close. to blame it on a stamina is a joke and ur everything what’s wrong with his fan base.

@Leftybenchplaya @SwipaCam It’s hint about the averages. It’s about HOW the minutes were played. Playing straight through without rest is different from breaking it up. It’s science. Dirk also had bad fourth quarters in the 2011 Finals.

@MythNix @SwipaCam lebron averaged 44 mins in 2011 playoffs (lost), 43 mins in the 2012 playoffs (won) and 42 mins in 13 playoffs (won) so clearly it’s not a stamina issue. btw dirk averaged 40 mins in ‘11 playoffs which is insane for a 7 footer and still had lebron beat in stamina

@BronMuse @MythNix Don’t matter. He can be 100-4 in postseason Overtime games. He still won’t touch 6-0. Never.

@Leftybenchplaya @SwipaCam This is just you reading exhaustion as giving up. I get it. You hate him. And nobody ever wears out playing 46 minutes. Everyone does it. So, so common. And, of course, nobody ever sits in second halves. Why would they do THAT?!? Mental midgets.

@MythNix @SwipaCam the point is he didn’t alter his play style and shrink mentally. i can get behind a player trying and nothing working. i can’t get behind someone who looked like they weren’t even trying. just looked like he threw the series

@Leftybenchplaya @SwipaCam Dude, deny it all you want. I don’t give a fuck. The guy was playing 46 minute games in June. If you think that’s normal, you be you. Jordan had 8 in his entire CAREER. Lebron had 4 in 2 weeks. MJ shit his pants in those games. Must’ve been mental.

@Leftybenchplaya @SwipaCam Great. Lebron came back better in 2012. It was about Dallas. One team. One series. One coach. You guys continually turn every physical issue for Lebron into a mental one. It’s nasty. Nobody ever did what he did in 2011. And you think it had NOTHING to do with being gassed.

@MythNix @SwipaCam this just proves dallas exposed a mental problem with him. They put smaller defenders on him, forced him into the post, took away his driving lanes and instead of punishing them for it, he wouldn’t attack, wouldn’t shoot, just did not impose himself.

@Leftybenchplaya @SwipaCam In the second quarter of game 4, Lebron scored zero. His teammates shot 12-17. Is it your belief that’s BAD basketball? He’s gassed in the fourth. It’s OBVIOUS if you watch it. He stood in the corner vs Boston. So did Wade. He was gassed, particularly in game 2 and 4.

@MythNix @SwipaCam it’s not just tired legs. 8 points in game 4, standing in the corner for entire possessions, passing/shooting out of mismatches.

@Leftybenchplaya @SwipaCam Yeah, and he shot 35% in 2007. While resting in second halves. But I’m sure none of that was dead legs, right? Lebron was playing 46 minute games in June. Superstars do NOT do that all the time. Wings averaging 44 MPG in the top 50 in single year playoff minutes are 0-8.

@MythNix @SwipaCam lebron playing heavy mins in the playoffs is nothing new. his 2007 run he put up a much bigger fight with a worse team. superstars play 40+ mins in the playoffs all the time. and plenty have done it w/o collapsing.

@cavofficer6 Scoring titles are about shots. Jordan took an average of 200 more shots than anyone every year. He BETTER win the scoring title. You can scream all you want. He played inferior competition, and it’s obvious on film.

That's complete BS. You can fluff LeBron all you want, but MJ performed at a level of excellence, for more years, than LeBron has. You don't win the scoring title for 75% of your career, and lose the title of the greatest, to a guy that won it 4.4% of his career. Scoring points, winning MVPs, and winning championships are central to the greatness of a basketball player, and MJ was better, by far, than LeBron is because of it.

People are now asking “can LeBron do the unthinkable and beat OKC?” SMH. Trying to set him up. Beating Houston especially like this, IS doing the unthinkable. Y’all trying to set him up for slander. STFU 🤣

@Leftybenchplaya @SwipaCam Wrong. Casey had stopped him for two straight years. Lebron got better after 2011. There’s nothing disqualifying about 2011.

So…do we think Adam Silver knows that the time is NOW to give Lebron the Michael Jordan whistle? We all know what David Stern would do here. In a potential OKC series, Jordan would have the lightest whistle known to man. Does Silver GET what a gold mine he’s sitting on?
