Incident in Bolton yesterday where a man walks into a shop and stabs the person sat down. The person who gets stabbed reacts quickly in self defence. In the end the attacker just sits down like nothing has happened.

When I first posted this, I noticed many Zimbabweans demanding justice while assuming the suspect might be South African. However, as the day progressed, the facts clarified that this was a tragic dispute between a Zimbabwean man and woman. The incident involved a Ndebele man who killed his ex-girlfriend—a woman he had reportedly helped start a business. The video reveals a volatile situation: emotions were high, insults were being hurled, and despite the man's attempts to walk away, he was repeatedly followed. It is a sobering reminder that when a person is struggling, angry, or has a bruised ego, things can escalate quickly. While nothing justifies violence, this situation shows how critical it is to recognise when to step back. Sometimes, it is safer to refuse help or remain silent than to risk an escalation with someone who is clearly at their breaking point. The world is heavy right now, and many people are fighting silent battles. We need to be more mindful of our words and learn to contain our reactions. Everyone involved in this scene was a Zimbabwean trying to make a living through informal trading. Let’s take this as a lesson to prioritise de-escalation and emotional awareness, as we never truly know what someone else is going through.

@Mawinizerr @SinegugupM51961 @NokulungaZulu2 I have been in these streets long enough to understand how an average Mzansi person views the world. A SouthAfrican travels the world, wow South Africa to the world. A Zimbabwean travels the world, Ooh look at him,he is running away from his country. Hypocrites.

@n_darlingtons @SinegugupM51961 @NokulungaZulu2 That’s precisely the selfish attitude that keeps your country where it is. Patriotism means fighting the system, with your countrymen, so that you don’t “have to go anywhere” in the world because you’d rather be home or because home “works”. You have an individualistic view.

@NokulungaZulu2 Equating the current struggles eg Zimbabwe with the apartheid regime indicates a profound misunderstanding of international political history and the unique nature of both systems. Such comparisons lack the necessary academic and political nuance.

@n_darlingtons So how do you think the sanctions came about? Why was there pressure? Was it not because the people of SA fought and died for our country? How did the world come to know of the injustices? I am gonna need you to read

@NokulungaZulu2 Don’t rewrite history to prop up a bad argument .The fight against apartheid wasn’t won by telling people to “stay put and fix it themselves.” It involved international pressure, sanctions, global solidarity. Struggle has never been as simple or as contained as you’re pretending.

@n_darlingtons No babes! They must do what we did. We fought against the apartheid regime and thousands of black people lost their lives. Here we are again NOT running anything but tackling the issue of immigration. We simply cannot house cowards who want things easy. Don't patronize me pls

@NokulungaZulu2 People don’t “run to you” for fun, they leave because staying can mean poverty, violence, or death. Telling millions of people to just “fix their country” like it’s a weekend project shows how little you understand about the world.
