Book #56 It's been awhile since I finished a chapter book-1 month. An amazing read. Not a book for every reader but an important one. Addresses sexual abuse, consent, suicide. It handles these delicate topics very well and is appropriate for the right reader in 4-5. #rooneyreads

My 12yo had a homework assignment to create a timeline of the influential books in her life. I LOVED what she did (and the books she chose!). Inside the books she wrote a blurb about how the book impacted her. ❤️

Book #55 I'm loving this Moby Shinobi series. Perfect for beginner readers! I can't wait to purchase for our library. I'm also buying this series for my own first grader's teacher as a gift because they belong in every primary classroom library. #rooneyreads

Book #54 masterfully written. I don't know how @LaurenWolkBooks continues to put out these wonderfully captivating tales over & over again. This one had me hanging on to every page. Adventure and amazing character development. #rooneyreads

Book #52 A great adventure/mystery/fantasy for readers that enjoy Katherine Applegate books or Sheila Turnage (Three Times Lucky). I love the relationship between the girl and the elephant in this sweet middle grade novel. #rooneyreads

Book #51 Great middle grade historical fiction that portrays the teenage life of Betty (who later in life marries Malcom X) #rooneyreads

Book #50 I finished this awhile back but forgot to tweet about it. Great prequel that unfolds the character Coriolanus Snow in his younger days to set the stage for Hunger Games. #rooneyreads
