Highly recommend the Julia package MixedModels. 7.5 million rows, including 4 million level two, 1000's of level three, fixed residual variance, no problem.. Barely putting a dent in my memory (and no crashing, as in R), and so far no convergence issues juliastats.org/MixedModels.jl…
