But you can justify Foerster because he contributes defensively. And his lack of offense is reflected in him playing with Cates instead of Zegras. And they’re not going to scratch Konecny. And you’re not going to put Michkov on line 4. So here we are, at least for Monday.

I think the frustrating thing about Briere is that he’s proven he can make a trade, both to make the team better AND to rebuild. If he just picked a direction, got out of his own way and stopped the one-foot-in one-foot-out bullshit, the team may actually get somewhere
