The perception that this is a circus, a show with clowns driven by their fandom, spewing hate can cetainly not be something the @NBA is proud of.

It’s very much appalling. I’ll admit i’m a Spurs fan, call me biased, but i’m no (ex) NBA player (on a paid podcast job) or media member who have a journalistic duty to bring the audience as much truth and nuance as possible.

With the Wemby slander still intensifying each day: Pushing, punches, pulls, kicking,..diving at knees, standing on feet,..Some were literally trying to take him out. Some of it was fair game, some if it wasn’t. Rather than succumbing to it, he took on the challenge. 🧵👇🏻

NBA playoffs is genuinely such a hard time being a die hard fan cuz there are so many casuals fans hopping on smear campaigns and narratives of some of the best players in the league without actually watching them play and just watching clips

@ohnohedidnt24 People have no idea how hard it is to play with a body like that. The preparation for each day, the specific exercises and care. The stamina needed to run with that body, the toll on your bones and muscles. Doing what he’s doing is actually very special.

@Tjonesonthenba Some of these Spurs were playing injured. The team and themselves should chose not to complin about and the media didn’t make it a thing either. Fox, Harper, Castle and Kornet have all been battling injuries throughout the playoffs.

The vilification of Wemby by NBA media the past couple of weeks has been absolutely horrible. And based on what? Disgusting.

My conclusions from these Finals: - Tired bodies after different very physical series - Lack of maturity - Fox lacked maturity the most - Harper: stud - Lack of consistent 3PT/FT shooting - Couldn’t figure out proper lineups - Don’t question their heart, that wasn’t the issue

Things i’ve learned through the PO’s: the Thunder BY FAR have the worst beat writers in all of sports. Straight trash.
