Because being tied up in skintight suits shouldn't just be for slender young women. More art for me by @ostentatiousRvn.

since I still see people falling for these scams and it feels like they're multiplying not only on here but also on discord and now even in people's twitch chats and whispers:
❗ HERE ARE SOME TIPS ON HOW TO SPOT ART SCAMMERS:
1. they most likely have the title ''gfx artist'' in their bio or in their name already and literally offer any type of art for you (2d, 3d, emotes, layouts, vtuber models, illustrations, etc) because they'll either end up scamming you or they outsource and commission someone else for cheaper for profit (off of artists on sites like fiverr for example). most of them will have a super generic (mostly common female) name and often also a profile picture of a girl or anime.
2. they'll most likely be the ones reaching out to you and you see them offering their art and commissions on a lot of their tweets (if they got their socials linked to their discord account) of potential clients looking for an artist to design anything for them. here's a reminder: 99% of actual artists won't be dming you, asking you or even begging you to commission them.
3. they don't have their portfolio up on any website and they tell you to rather dm them for examples (i guess to lower the chance of getting caught when they steal someone else's artwork) and if they do upload ''their'' work on twitter or send you some examples of ''their'' work in your dms, they have a wild range of artstyles and the resolution/quality is most likely very low because they don't have the original art file or it's just a screenshot. if they do have their socials linked (instagram for example) make sure their name checks out everywhere. i've had someone trying to scam me that had multiple different names on all of their links and then later on claimed that they ''work with that artist'', while they had an actual innocent artist's instagram linked in their bio with a completely different name of course.
4. if it already got to that point, they'll most likely send you bad resolution screenshots of the work in progress, if there even are any updates before the work is done (a lot of times from fiverr) & look out for any watermarks - potentially from the original artist.
5. i know a lot of people think those accounts are bots and a lot of them will act like that too, until you're actually interested in a commission with them or dm them back. you'll most likely notice that their answers are not just automated, it's just that their whole art commission promo sounds the same to you because unfortunately there's a lot of these scammers out there.
6. unfortunately nowadays a lot of them will not only call themselves artists, but now also vtubers and streamers. some of them will start a bit of small talk first and act like they want to become your friend even until they start mentioning their artwork or commissions. because of these scammers I've seen people bad mouthing ''artists'' for acting friendly just to promote themselves, which is just really sad.
also: a couple of my friends even had their artwork stolen and being used as an example for those scammers to show off ''their'' work and claim it as their own, it's absolutely disgusting. if you do happen to see one of those bots claiming someone else's artwork as their own (to promote their own commissions) it helps big time to let the actual artist know (if you know who the original artist is ofc) to then report their account.
I don't blame people falling for these scams, especially if they're not active or new within the art community and don't know what to look out for but if this even prevents one single person from getting scammed, it's worth it, stay safe out there 💚
