The reason people don’t like him and tend to hate on him is because he bought and raped his underage wife. For someone with empathy and care, that tends to be enough of a reason to hate a character.

@dbhksceo It was legal in Japan for children as young as 16 to get married until 2022 with parental permission. It's legal for children younger than that in many of the US states. Also we cannot confirm that she was 4 years younger, but even then, it would have been seen as fine.

@weirdbeingg Maybe that's your problem, though. You never want to engage with uncomfortable topics so you have no threshold for what is and isn't misogynistic. Maybe Bluey and Franklin or Barney is more your speed, but MHA is a show that tackles difficult topics. It's not sexist for that.
