ENS does not need to be the entire identity or agent stack. It only needs to be the neutral naming and resolution layer that lets the rest of the stack become discoverable. I truly believe domains are best anchor to host and reference different implementations.

Making domains decentralized. Making contracts readable. Making wallets personal. Making agents legible. Making transactions safe. Making identity portable. Making crypto human. - @ensdomains 🫡

🧵 If you own a .eth domain and you’re not making money from it, you’re leaving value on the table. Here’s how any .eth owner can turn their domain into a business: (1/9)

1000 subnames 🫡 Currently away from my PC, later on I'll pause it, and will implement a fee of 0.0001 eth per name (23-25 cents per registration) not including gas. Free + gas for a bit longer though.

Resumed registrations from collections.eth via @namespace_eth. You can go to their app/website listed on their profile. Or use collections.eth.limo to redirect to it. New registrations should automatically be set to the year 2080 now. It's possible to renew subnames for free + gas at any point, however as far as I know that currently that has to be done directly through the official ens name wrapper contract. I also just tested it again and extended one of my own subnames to 2079, costed about 75 cents in gas. Later today I'll pause it again and change the fee to 0.0001 eth just FYI. Should cost about 25 cents per mint at current eth prices (not including gas fees which are likely more).

Here's why most teams don't add ENS subnames in their app They assume it means deploying smart contracts, paying gas fees, and managing resolver infrastructure. But it doesn't. With offchain subnames, you can give every user a name like alice.yourapp.eth in minutes. No contract deployment. No gas costs. No infrastructure to maintain. Just an API calls or SDK integration, and your users have a real identity inside your product. We've seen wallets and other teams add this in a single sprint 🏃💨 The result is a cleaner UI, better UX overall, improved trust, no transacting anxiety of wrong address input, and no address-related scams (poisoning, spoofing, etc.). If you're building a wallet, payment app, or any Web3 product - this is one of the lowest-effort, highest-impact upgrades you can make right now.

I honestly have no idea how many subnames there are now under collections.eth since I opened up free mints on @namespace_eth. If I had to guess about 500? People still registering lol. Collections.eth is now registered until 2051, which means so are all subnames under it.
