also part of the reason i’m engaging with this is so i get more book stuff on my tl bc i need a rec that will pull me out of this horrific slump. i changed my reading goal bc i don’t think 100, which i’ve done for the last three years, is possible anymore at my pace 😭

and yes, how you divide your time also matters. this time last year i had read 41 books by the start of april. this year, i’ve read 10. i’m in a terrible reading slump, yes, and i have also spent a lot of time this year watching one piece when last year i would have been reading.

nah y’all just got inferiority complexes and jealousy towards those with faster reading paces. like y’all have no problem understanding when “read at your own pace” is someone who reads slower than the average but suddenly we’re brand new when it means someone who reads faster
