Welfare groups remain a vital pillar in uplifting the socio-economic well-being of our people at the grassroots. We disbursed funds to Small Simba, Imani and Mlimani–Loreto–Godown welfare groups in Godown community area, beneficiaries of the Sinoko Welfare Fund drive.

Disbursed funds to Upendo Welfare, Ujirani Wema Welfare, Mwiba Welfare and Upper East Mwiba Welfare groups in Mwiba community area. We will continue with such initiatives aimed at empowering our communities and uplifting livelihoods at tye grassroots.

Ilikuwa zamu ya Sisal Estate welfare, St. Peters welfare, Ludodo Upendo welfare na timu ya Kona Rangers kufaidika na ruzuku ya kuinua vikundi. Nitazidi kusaidia vikundi vyetu vya mashinani ili viendeleze miradi endelevu ya kuinua familia na kuimarisha jamii yetu.

We remain committed to strengthening our welfare groups as a pathway to uplifting our communities. Today, we disbursed funds to Mugadia Village Welfare, Namunyiri Welfare, Sinoko Ward Welfare, GreenStar FC and Neema Soko Amani Welfare groups in Soko Amani community area.

I encourage our people to join community based groups for socio-economic growth. We will continue to empower such groups at the grassroots. Through our Welfare Fund Drive, Mapera Welfare, Block C Welfare, Sikhendu Welfare and Ambana Old Age groups received grants to support their initiatives and uplift their members.

Mary Lusweti Secondary School new administration block is now complete and ready for commissioning. The facility features administrative offices, student library and computer lab. This project is part of our model school program, aimed at strengthening schools infrastructure and creating a conducive learning environment for our students.

Ongoing grading (6.5KM), culverts installation and cleaning, bush clearing and graveling (2.5KM), on the Matunda- Mti Moja- Nangili road. This routine road maintenance is aimed at improving road passability, enhancing socio-economic development through movement of people and goods with ease.

Ongoing maintenance of Soy Roadblock–Likuyani–Sango tarmac road. Scope of works include shoulder repairs, pothole patching, drainage improvement, and bush clearing. This will ease the smooth movement of goods and services, and enhance road safety for all users.

Through our #ElimuKwanza initiative, we remain committed to improving the quality of education for our learners by investing in modern school infrastructure and increasing bursary allocation to support our students. I attended the AGM and Prize Giving Day at St. Anne's Nzoia Girls Secondary School, where I congratulated them for their outstanding performance in the 2025 KCSE examinations. The school emerged the best in our sub-county and ranked third in the Kakamega Diocese, posting an impressive mean grade of 7.91 and attaining a 76% university transition rate. To further support their continued excellence, I presented a cheque of Ksh 1 million to support the school activities. I was accompanied by Nzoia Ward MCA Hon. Collins Chaprukha.

The Matunda Affordable Housing Project is steadily taking shape and will deliver 205 housing units with accompanied social and commercial amenities. The project is already providing employment opportunities to average daily workforce of 80, underscoring its significant contribution to local employment. We thank H.E President @WilliamsRuto for this transformative project aimed at enhancing socio-economic development in our constituency.

Through the Likuyani NG-CDF and our collaborative approach with the community, we have significantly revamped Siyenga Comprehensive School. The school has benefited from renovation of five classrooms and construction of two JSS classes through utilization of Likuyani NG-CDF, in addition to one by Ministry of education. These investments have enhanced and facelift the school’s infrastructure. We officially commissioned the school new administration block, which will provide a dignified and conducive environment for teaching and learning.

We are grateful to H.E President @WilliamsRuto for his commitment to improve our road infrastructure. After decades and long wait, we have finally unlocked the upgrading to bitumen standards of Matunda-River Nzoia- Brigadier road. Phase 2 of the upgrade of Kosoki-Mawe Tatu roads (Kosoki-Sisundi junction-Kwa Reuben-Waiguru-Mukuyu PAG-Njenga junction-Kongoni HQ-Kongoni TVC-Kuwait) has also been advertised. These two roads will significantly enhance mobility and ease movement of people and goods.
