it is time to accept the fact that arirang was never meant to be a korean folk album but was always designed as a HIP HOP project. from the very beginning, they said they were going back to their roots aka hiphop. bts literally debuted as a hip hop group. arirang is a hip hop album embodying the message and soul of their korean identity. an album that perfectly captures the essence of bts identity: born in korea, play for the world.

There is one small thing that bothered me the second I started the documentary. And its when RM says, "the life of a kpop artist is short, ours has been extended. So we have to figure out what's going to work, what makes us special? Even the chairman doesnt know." I wish they realized it's not a formula or a certain method or anything at all. It's just THEM. Their personalities, their genuine desire to create, their passion—all of it translates and resonates no matter what they do. BTS is special bc of the seven members that make up BTS and nothing else. They are enough as they are. 😔😭 Anyways these are my unable to sleep thoughts fjfnfnf
