Now I'm two months from the wedding, and my entire bridal party is "gently suggesting" I find something more "classic." My mother-in-law offered to buy me a "proper" dress from David's Bridal. But when I put this on, I see my grandmother's garden, her stories about village celebrations, the culture she left behind when she immigrated. Yes, it's not a traditional white gown. Yes, people might whisper. But isn't a wedding dress supposed to make you feel like the truest version of yourself? I'm torn between keeping peace and keeping this dress that makes my heart sing every time I look at those embroidered birds

Hank the Tank is very sick today. Was not eating yesterday but it escalated today. Lucky the vets could come and see him from @wearehappydoggo . He just can’t relax or get comfortable and is on a drip. Can help lots of dogs but hits different when it’s your own big baby

Balling on a budget and I need opinions. 💕 I ordered two dresses—one secondhand and one sample. I knew my dress wouldn’t be absolutely perfect because I just can’t afford the full “dream dress,” and I made peace with that early on. I actually shared my dress hunt in an online crafting group, and one of my favorite crafters surprised me by sending a crocheted bouquet that’s exactly what I’d always dreamed of. That alone reminded me this whole thing is about love, not price tags. Both dresses are totally different styles, and I’m hoping you’ll like at least one of them.
