The show also constantly portrays characters *receiving* and *accepting* sincere apologies, and their reactions are almost always open and forgiving in return. And sometimes, you see their surprise/appreciation for the apology.

One of the things that strikes me most while watching Ted Lasso: these characters know how to apologize and own mistakes. I think the healthy conversation/conflict on the show is one of the reasons it feels so *safe*

What if they didn’t let you on a plane without proof of vaccination?

@madebyamyD Because whitespace is powerful and indicates a sacred-y pause. So maybe it’s really amazing they are sharing their whitespace with you?

If someone is trying to tell me they have time on their calendar and they use the term “whitespace”, as in “I have some whitespace at 4” I want to barf. Why is that? Why does it piss me off?

@Inkfish During the last several months I’ve heard back from the residencies I’d applied for in January: sorry, you weren’t selected and also we’re cancelled. It would have been so much nicer if they’d kept that first part to themselves.

@geedix One animal here was a guest, so another of the animals peed to disapprove. Then the guest animal peed to show off. My peeing was to model appropriate behavior.

Today all the animals in my house are expressing themselves through urine.
