🔍 How we measure students’ opportunity to learn (OTL) changes the story of achievement & equity
Findings:
🔹4 OTL models → different insights
🔹 Latent model = most robust
🔹Math > science in consistency
⚖️Method matters as much as the measure

📕Effective and Equitable Teacher Practice in Mathematics and Science: A Nordic Perspective Across Time and Groups of Students
Volume 14 of the #ResearchforEducation Series is released today! This volume is a collaboration between IEA and The Nordic Council of Ministers.
This volume investigates inequality in student achievement across socioeconomic status, language backgrounds, and teaching practices in Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden using data from #TIMSS (Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study) and develops methods for examining large-scale assessment across cycles, countries, and groups of students.
Today's launch takes place in Reykjavik, Iceland at a conference organized by the Ministry of Education and Children, Directorate of Education, and the Nordic Group of Evaluation Experts.
