but honestly it's a fair and fine set up/prologue/introduction to the main story that no doubt will unfold after luo binghe is back👏 so i'm excited to see that:)

maybe i'm just not used to the flow of these types of novels yet, but i struggled a bit with getting into the story, despite being somewhat familiar with the whole cultivation thing (mxtx's other works) and this not being my first transmigration/isekai story.

i gave this 3 stars when i first read it and i'll probably give it the same rating this time too, but i wanted to reread it:) i barely remember it, but i know i loved the second book (dark heir) and i want to justify buying it lol
