For those who aren't aware of the background of my issue with #Volkswagen, here's a short version: I absolutely love my VW Vento. But their service is abysmal, to say the least, and Volkswagen India management doesn't care one bit. 1. I have had an issue with the headlight since 2021 that they can't fix (the headlight focuses on the sky instead of the road). We noticed a manufacturing defect, and I asked them to replace it under warranty. They refused and asked me to pay 60K to replace it if I wanted. They are still fixing it. 2. Issue with steering in Dec 2022. Was told that three parts had to be changed, requested go ahead for expenses. I told them that the car was still under warranty and they could replace the parts under warranty. The car got magically fixed due to some adjustments, and now it is as good as new (their words, not mine). No part replacement was needed. 3. Hissing sound (likely from turbo) since Oct 2023 that they are unable to fix. Have visited the ASC more than 6+ times for this. 4. Terrible customer service - they banged my car inside the ASC and then went mute for weeks. Due to the above, on average, my car has been going to the Volkswagen ASC about 10 times every year since 2021-22. In 2024 alone, my car has been at the ASC exceeding 10+ days, twice. Stay away from Volkswagen India and their cars. While they make fantastic cars, their treatment of customers is so poor that more often than not, you'll regret your purchase.

I have been using Uber a lot in Taiwan. You have multiple options in the uber and one of the option is to go by the meter, it gives you a range while you board and the final fare can be anything. Took more than a dozen ubers, none of them tried scamming, 0 cancellation and everyone has put the exact meter reading that I could see at the end. (They have to do that at the end of trip after customer exits for final bill) And drivers are very respectful, infact one even started playing Indian music after I sat in. This is how you win tourists and leave an impression on them.

Another bright young mind lost to the cruelty of fate! Dr Manikandan, one of Pondicherry's foremost ObGyns and fetal medicine consultants, lost his life to a massive heart attack in the wee hours of today. A very accomplished, widely respected and skilled fetal medicine consultant, he was a dear friend of mine. We were neighbours in JIPMER's married resident quarters when we were setting out on our respective careers. Two blocks of 12 one BHK apartments, the MSR quarters area was a virtual nursery, with most of the inhabitants having young fledgling families. Even after we left Pondy, we kept in occasional touch with each other. One still can't believe he isn't amongst us any more. His passing is a rude shock. Praying to the Lord that He may grant Sadgati to the departed soul and immense strength to his shocked family and friends.

Had booked Dhurandhar-2 tickets in PVR Heritage ECR for the 10 pm show. Drove all the way to realise that our show is cancelled due to some technical fault. But we are crazy people. Found 3 tickets in Palazzo Vadapalani, 10:55 pm show, booked and drove all the way. Got popcorn, and now on our way to the screen. Where there is a will, there is a way 😎

We left for Jaipur immediately after collecting our luggage. Now I want to take my kids for darshan but I’m so scared to even of a similar experience again.

We were duped in Vrindavan by a “guide” who wanted to show us Nidhivan and Shri Radha Raman ji. I was hesitant but my husband said chal na the boy will get some money in return so I agreed. He showed us Nidhivan with making us put dakshina everywhere and took us to an obscure
