How are Simon fans supposed to cope with this I'm so scared I can't stop thinking of the scene๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ

And unlike Tokio, who found his wings and escaped Azuma's shadow, Simon seems to be the type of character who will always remain shackled by his family, trying to restore their name and honor to his dying breath, even if that is not what he truly desires from his life.

The thing about Simon is that he feels responsible of others to a self-destructive degree. The guy would gladly get himself killed if it meant making his family proud, which is sad when you consider the implications that he feels shackled by his family's name and role.

I think you're misunderstanding him heavily. Sure, his family served Sora, but they were heroes first and foremost and were around in Yamato even before Sora started leading them. They've always been heroes, not followers.+

The main thing about Simon's character is his powerlessness to, not just these situations, but in general. I think spill the beans and take over Ely's word is because unlike Ely, who only believes in herself, Simon only knows to leave it to the higher-up's as his only way to help

@soxinzmamaes I think it's because they spent around six volumes formulating a plan to cut Zora's opium supply to weaken her, which actually worked because she's already old and way past her prime that they called her the 'former X'. As for Nue, they were never the real X, and Tokio and co +

@9Eg9kwhj1AyAxV9 Yep, that's true. I've also been thinking of that. Funnily enough, some of the techniques Bucket uses are ones that Simon learnt from Sandek, so these techniques aren't even related to the sword choujin families. Either it's a crazy coincidence, or.....
