@ronelm2000 @p4n4m4j4ck @annecrescini You know how many people thought Japan would have robots walking around by now.....crickets...at this point China has them beat. Japan is still very much analog
English

@p4n4m4j4ck @naruto4ever124 @annecrescini Tech catching up isn't ensured. We've had Moore's Law for quite a while now failing right before our eyes. In order for tech to catch up we need more educated people for innovation, which isn't happening during a demographic gap.
Smart ppl aren't ensured either.
English

Although the Japanese government said they were going to crack down on illegal immigration, it seems everyday there is a new announcement of some new rule or law making it more difficult to legal immigrants to live here. Although most immigrants come here with a love of Japan and make a significant contribution to society, Japan seems to treat them as a nuisance to be tolerated until they can get the birthrate back up.
English

@JtwatsonJacob Because most of the foreigners you know more than likely don't live here, and just pretend they do. Not new, or surprising.
English

@naruto4ever124 Yes it should be hard they are on a visa not citizens. Immigrants don't seem to have much of an issue from what I see aside from freeloaders. I have yet to see foreigners i know once complain their life has been made more difficult. They seem quite happy japan is being strict.
English

@JtwatsonJacob They didn't vote on tougher policies, but most Japanese voted for her on the sole purpose of haunting immigration and kicking out foreigners which they thought she'd do.
Exactly, you should because none of this involves a non-resident of Japan. Stay out of our business.
English

@naruto4ever124 And the whole reason immigrants came up is because looser policies attract more. The Japanese voted on tougher policies to stop more coming it was a connected point. Anyway I'm muting the convo now.
English

@JtwatsonJacob Most foreigners on the on these threads don't even live in Japan. They are for anything that they think will keep minorites out of their precious Japan. So that doesn't mean much. Talk to actual people living here first. Quite a stark difference in opinion.
English

@naruto4ever124 No other foreigners have complimented me too. And oh japanese lapdog so you just exposed what i thought you are a bitter loser cause the majority don't support your position.
English

@JtwatsonJacob Again, You're not understanding or scratching the full scope of the issue here.
If Japan is REQUESTING people to come to their country to work, then it doesn't make sense for them to make their legal residents lives difficult while working here.
It doesn't affect, that's why.
English

@naruto4ever124 Yes and i agreed they should have to because no foreigners have a right to be in japan. And again i don't see many legal immigrants complaining. Strict policies are just as important as deporting illegals.
And i can't read?
English

@JtwatsonJacob No one cares that you are getting praise for being a Japanese persons lap dog.
The legal residents here are being negatively impacted because it effects our visa status, financial stability, livelihood etc.
Until it affects you, you're just another "I'm the good foreigner"
English

@naruto4ever124 And for the record i have said what i said to literally dozens of japanese and they agree with me and even complimented me that i care more about the state of japan that i am willing to accept restrictions affecting me going there. So i also have anecdotal evidence.
English

@JtwatsonJacob Yes you did change it. The topic wasn't about not wanting, or wanting more foreigners in Japan.
It's about LEGAL IMMIGRANTS. FOREIGNERS CURRENTLY RESIDING HERE, having to deal with the stricter immigration policies BECAUSE of ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS. Idiot.
English

@naruto4ever124 The topic never changed. The topic was you mad that the govt is making it harder foreigners and wanting it to be easier i disagree.
English

@JtwatsonJacob And that's exactly what I'm talking about. You shifted the whole topic to what was actually being discussed. Which is why I called you ignorant from the start.
English

@naruto4ever124 Most foreigners don't want more foreigners in japan and most Japanese don't want more foreigners either.
English

@JtwatsonJacob Do you even know the reasons she won though? Because I can already by your response that you still don't understand the full context of what happening. Clearly so.
English

@naruto4ever124 Takaichi won literally on a landslide with a major platform of making things harder for foreigners japanese first. A guy i know has lived 20 years there and he doesn't seem to think anything is unreasonable. And you telling me i have to read between lines lol you can't back it up
English

@p4n4m4j4ck @annecrescini Having more people doesn't mean anything when most of them are elderly and the population is shrinking
English

@p4n4m4j4ck @annecrescini You're trying to apply a situation happening in one country to another more developed country. Doesn't work that way.
Japan has the worlds oldest population. 29% of the population is over 65. which is around 35 million. There are also less kids in general.
English

@bunnygirlnatik @omegaversatire @djeongz Yeah but it's a kpop sound on an international girl group. So it's still considered cute and refreshing
English

@naruto4ever124 @omegaversatire @djeongz It is cause it's a rinse and repeat of the music kpop already projects. I like a few groups cause they left the template behind, the touch sound is truly nothing new the difference is it's sang in English.
English

@JtwatsonJacob No, my job was providing the facts. What isn't my job is pointing out every little detail for you because you can't read between the lines or understand how context works.
Again, most foreigners here share my sentiments. Regardless of that, it has nothing to do with you.
English

@naruto4ever124 It is your job you made the claim. I think you are just butthurt you are in a minority opinion.
English

@Yonas_Ark @alessasworld @JAPANESEBLACK You sound ignorant. Like kpop literally hasn't built an empire off of being pretty. Especially trainees who maybe had better skills, but didn't debut because they had less visual appeal or charisma. Please stop the cap.
And the fact that she's still being talked about is proof
English

@naruto4ever124 @alessasworld @JAPANESEBLACK Being part of a group requires commitment and talent, and she doesn't have any. She only has a fan base because of a simple thing: ✨she's pretty✨ and being pretty doesn't require effort
Her fans and hybe dumbly thought she was something more, and now we see she's not
English

@Yonas_Ark @alessasworld @JAPANESEBLACK Having a huge fan base on your own is already a big deal. Especially these days it's important. It shows she can stand on her own and be recognized and have star power even outside of a group. But mixing that with a group expands that reach even further which is what they did.
English

@JtwatsonJacob Oh but it does. It just obviously doesn't state it as blatant as that. Being "disengaged", "not knowing the details of major policies", "only knowing about major scandals", etc are ALL context clues.
So do your own research, it not my job. And you can't find everything in ENG.
English

@naruto4ever124 Your sources don't say anywhere that Japanese are uninformed or uninterested in politics. And no you made the claim you show me. The fact you want me to do research tells me you are just making things up.
English

@p4n4m4j4ck @annecrescini Immigration / Tourist / Citizens.
You're not serious. I refuse to engage with ignorance.
English

@naruto4ever124 @annecrescini what are we going to do without horse and buggy? business need more workers for 40% less customers in future. numbers must go up or everything is a failure .consume or it's a failure
English

@JtwatsonJacob Exactly, which means it doesn't CURRENTLY affect you. Basically as I stated. Keep up.
These are the few sources I found in English. Do your OWN research.
genron-npo.net/en/opinion_pol….

English

@naruto4ever124 I can you read. I said i plan to move therefore it will affect me if it would affect me if i am thinking about it.
And you're gonna need to provide proof for that, sounds to me you are just demeaning them because you might be in a minority opinion.
