A lot of people ask “what is @AroNetwork actually building?” So let me break it down in plain terms using the ( docs.aro.network ) . ARO Network is building an edge cloud using a clear three-layer structure, where each layer has a specific role and purpose. At the base is the Resource Layer. This is the foundation of ARO ; a global, permissionless network of nodes providing bandwidth, storage and computing power. The goal here is to solve two hard problems: how distributed nodes can trust each other’s work, and how very different machines can still function as one network, even when they sit behind firewalls or local networks. ARO addresses this by virtualizing node capabilities and proving real work through verifiable mechanisms. Above that is the Open (Trust) Layer, where coordination happens. This layer verifies node workloads on-chain and actively matches available resources with real user demand. It is powered by the PeerEdge Middleware, which standardizes what nodes can do, enables fast peer-to-peer data transmission and dynamically routes tasks to the most suitable nodes in real time. This is essentially the intelligence layer of the network. At the top is the Application Layer, which is what users and developers interact with. Using the capabilities exposed by the middleware and on-chain interfaces, this layer supports services like CDN, cloud storage, AI inference, compute routing and runtime transmission. It is open to developers, allowing third-party applications to grow on top of the network and push ARO’s vision of universal acceleration. In the bigger picture, ARO follows a simple Resource–Trust–Service model. The resource layer focuses on standardizing and virtualizing heterogeneous nodes and proving real work. The trust layer ensures that this work is verified, settled, and governed on-chain. The service layer then turns those verified resources into usable products and services. The result is a high-performance, cost-efficient AI and edge acceleration network built on real infrastructure .
