@shanghaidaily This guy is so worried that people will forget him, so he wears the same leather jacket, pants and shoes everywhere he goes. Because all those Asians look the same, ya know? 🤣 He must have that in the back of his mind somewhere.

🚨 WOW! President Trump announces he expects Chinese President Xi would TAKE Taiwan when he's no longer in office — and is calling on chipmakers to move to America ASAP Xi knows. This is why we can't let the Democrats take power again! "Now, with me, I don't think they'll do anything when I'm here. When I'm not here, I think they might, to be honest with you!" "So I'm not sure that they do anything if it remained as is." "And I think they probably would do something pretty harsh, and then they would be met harshly and bad things will happen. So no, it's not that. We talked, by the way, last night we talked a whole night about that."

I hate him, but the bar itself is so good. What we can hear "I'm feeling like BTS cause it took the whole Korea for to me to be Seoul discovered" Like in how the entire Korean industry revolves in Seoul. You first need to succeed in Seoul to reach level where the whole Korea sees you. BTS, the underdogs, the chonnums, first earned recognition from the entire Korean nation people being proud of them, before Seoul ran industry started treating them with any respect. Like mind you a month before winning their first MAMA Artist of The Year BTS was still not getting even as much as a changing room on music show because a just debuted big company rookie got one over them

Japan isn't just losing its vitality in its homeland, but also throughout Asia. Japan used to be the top nationality that got the most work permits in Thailand, now its China by far, and this has accelerated since COVID. Japanese companies in Southeast Asia are less competitive, less modern, pay less well, and as a result they're retreating from the market. In a way it is quite sad, because there used to be some really iconic Japanese neighborhoods in Bangkok, but they're increasingly far less Japanese. What is old is new again, Bangkok was initially dominated by Southern Chinese migrants hungry for business, and so it is increasingly again.

@RolfHaltza Completely wrong. Hallway conversations, in-person meetings, dynamic whiteboarding sessions after poking your head into a colleague's office, team lunches, coffee breaks, water cooler talk..it's all 1000% more productive than everyone working remotely.

There is not a single good argument for in-office being preferable to remote. Not one. Employers and their HR codes completely destroyed offices as environments for mentorship or fostering normal social relations. Offices are monuments to employee humiliation.
Nat Purser@NatPurser

talking to young people who wish their jobs were fully remote makes me feel like i’m losing my mind. you’re at the point in life where you could most benefit from in-person relationship and knowledge building … but … you wanna get some errands done,
