Memo to Andrew Hastie: the reason to take a “last stand for neoliberal politics” is because systems which put choices in the hands of individuals create thriving societies. Matt and I recorded this podcast episode before Hastie had a dig at the structures which underpinned human flourishing in Australia for decades, but it seems even more relevant now. My take: our economy is suffering from cronyism and institutionalism. We need to get back to a classical liberal framework, not give up on it.
