@devjobless @KaiKai2492 @YetiCoolBroth3r I think that's a bit harsh, but I see your point. I enjoyed it, even though it's vastly different from the sources. It had it's flaws but I had a great time and I genuinely misunderstand the excessive hate it's getting tbh.

@KaiKai2492 @nateasked4this @YetiCoolBroth3r I do agree on the point that game lore probably wouldn't be able to adapt to a series coherently and some changes had to be done. That's not an excuse to completely assassinate the characters. They sprinkle references everywhere and do everything besides telling a good story

Game Vergil would actually kill this dude for calling their mom weak. His entire pursuit of power, quite literally stems from his childhood desire to be protected by his mother who never reached him before she was killed. The MAIN factor for his lust for strength is a deep desire to never allow something like his mothers death to happen again. V spills his guts to Trish because she is a physical copy of her and he desperately tries to save her. These straight up aren't even Dante, Vergil and Lady anymore, these aren't the same characters at all.

@KaiKai2492 @devjobless @YetiCoolBroth3r I played all the DMC's, I read all the manga, and the novels. And I don't understand the hate this gets. I view this is as Sam Raimi's Spider-Man, it's different from the originals, and yet made well and enjoyable. If you compare it to the OG, you're gonna have a bad time.

I'm not saying that the adaption is perfect, it sure as shit has it's flaws, I'm just saying hating it because it's not 1:1 is bad.

@KaiKai2492 Which game, because in each interpretation, Dante's character is wastly different. Oh, and do you perchance mean Manga, novel and 2007 anime Dante, too? Even though he's acting completely different, it's the same character, too! See where I'm going with this?

Netflix Devil May Cry is one of the few media whose fans I side-eye. It's offensive levels of bad and I questions its enjoyers.

I finally finished watching it and… honestly, I don’t even know where to begin. The surprises kept hitting nonstop from Episode 1 onward. I was shocked, caught off guard, and genuinely impressed so many times that I had to rewind scenes over and over again just to process what I was seeing. (Doesn’t help that my group chat kept exploding the entire time and destroying my concentration.) A lot of things I had imagined in my head actually happened, and somehow several moments still went way beyond my expectations. As a Dante x Lady fan, I’m not trying to glaze or brag or anything. I wasn’t screaming my lungs out like a maniac. It was more like… something inside me finally got unlocked emotionally, and all I could do was sit there staring at the screen with a small smile on my face while my inner thoughts were absolutely losing their minds. (Thankfully I managed to contain myself.) I won’t spoil too much more than that. You should honestly go watch it for yourselves. And for the people who are mad about what happened in Episode 5, I’ll be real with you: I genuinely do not care what you think, and I’ll probably laugh in your face even harder because of it. Anyway, back to the serious part. There were so many peak moments in this season. Arius especially surprised me — honestly, this guy was cool as hell. He had style, intelligence, charisma, and that manipulative mastermind energy that made him incredibly fun to watch as a villain. And the kaiju fight between those two monsters? That was INSANELY hype. I loved every second of it. Vergil’s storyline finally started getting resolved, and the way the plot moved — no matter which side of the story you were following — felt completely unpredictable. I genuinely could not guess where things were going next. Everything constantly went beyond my expectations. And dear god, I need Season 3 immediately. I’m dying to see Lady’s storyline about hunting down her father. Seriously, when that season finally drops, somebody better tag me instantly. P.S. I’m giving this season a 9.5/10. “omg i hate the DMC show because it does things differently than the games” No shit, Sherlock. That’s what adaptations do. I like the show. Yeah, it has issues, but people act like it killed the franchise because it isn’t a 1:1 copy of the games. Stop demonizing it.
