West is heading back to the 5A State Championship game as they knocked off the 3-time defending champion Bountiful in an absolutely classic game! West got their normal production from Kylee Falatea but it was the play from Laite Latu and Tiana Fa who both had stretches in this game where they were dominate! @kslsports @TABBank @natethatcher15

Milika Satuala's final game in a Bountiful uniform didn't end in her 4th straight Championship, but it did add an exclamation mark to her incredible legacy she is leaving behind at Bountiful. Milika showed the heart and determination that has defined her entire career today as she brought the Redhawks back from an 18 point deficit to force overtime even after receiving a massive gash to her head. Adelaide Stevenson was shooting daggers from 3 today in Bountiful's quarterfinal win over Maple Mountain. In a game where Milika Satuala went for 28, it felt like Stevenson's 3's squashed every run that Maple Mountain tried to put together. With all due respect to all of the previous Herriman Mustangs who were elite scorers in their time, and trust us, they've had many, none of them have been as dynamically elite or possess the pure shooting touch that Carlo Mulford has put on display in his years at Herriman. And now, the record book backs that up as well! Mulford set the school record for points scored at Herriman, doing so in every asset of the game while also completing the season sweep of the Westlake Thunder! "...the Jazz removed two of the team's top players...before the beginning of the 4Q and did not return them to the game" 1) Ok so if Will Hardy sits Markkanen the entire 3Q and plays him in the 4Q instead, is that acceptable? 2) They won that Heat game! 3) They won that Heat game because Brice Sensabaugh is nails and came through with several big shots. Is he not permitted to be the focal point of an offense without the presence of 'stars' on the floor concurrently? I have more questions now than before they addressed/penalized this.
