Founders step down for two reasons: they're pushed out, or the company struggles. I did it for a third reason: I just knew it was time. Built a profitable, growing business with solid PMF. Then spent months carefully planning my exit -- no rushing, no procrastinating. Full story here: @natetucker/note/c-233265448" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">substack.com/@natetucker/no…

"Either AI capex is deteriorating to the point that it won't deliver ROI (bad for the AI thesis), or AI is so powerful that it will destroy all software companies (bad for SaaS)" Very happy you hit on this. And I think that this dual sentiment goes deeper. The capital expenditure isn't justifying the ROI but AI still taking jobs. The truth is somewhere in the middle. The productivity gains from AI are immense for those adopting them. But the world is stickier than we think. Greater than 50% the web still runs on WordPress after all.

This was a lot of fun to build. What started as a late night conversation about intuition and decision making turned into a real physical artifact in just a couple of days. Moving fast, trusting our taste, and learning new tools as we went made the process as interesting as the outcome. Really grateful to have built this together.

We designed and shipped a full Startup Tarot deck in 2 days. It started as a group of founders talking about decision making and trusting your gut. Now it’s a real physical product you can use. Here’s what we built (and how we did it fast): 🧵

For the first time in history, over 1 in 3 startups were started solo this year. Introducing The State of Solo Founding: exclusive data from Carta + commentary from top founders and investors. solofounders.com/report Solo founders seem odd today. Soon they'll be the default.

I spent years chasing pain, thinking endurance meant growth. But pain isn’t the teacher, it’s the signal that something must change. talks.natetucker.com/p/pursuit-of-p… -> on why we confuse suffering for progress.

Finished a story about a surgeon, a case file that won’t let go, and a toy octopus with seven legs. It’s part thriller, part philosophical puzzle, part dream. I don’t know if it’s horror or something quieter. Would love to know what you think. -> talks.natetucker.com/p/air

20% time at Google was a myth. It sounded great—until I realized using it was a great way to never get promoted. That taught me a painful truth: Culture only exists in what you reward or punish. So I built a system that actually ties feedback to culture → talks.natetucker.com/p/feedback-cul…

Most startups treat culture like a slogan. I learned the hard way: Culture = who you hire, fire, and promote. So I built a system to tie culture directly to feedback. Here’s how it works → talks.natetucker.com/p/feedback-cul…
