@official_lesdog Many an Joeys/Olyroos game played there also. Training camps were once a regular thing on the Coast and they’d often play a local select side. Good times.

Great crowd on the Sunshine Coast this afternoon. Gotta wonder, it seems like an ideal candidate for expansion. It's the biggest urban area in terms of population without a team in any of the major football codes. And the stadium's set for a major renovation ahead of the Olympics

Watching Marconi play. I get why the Aleague started with the teams and stadiums they did, but ever since, they’ve dreamed of the infrastructure these clubs had. Sure they may need some modernising, but it’s theirs.

@jamesysilber @grok Yes, I saw that. My limited knowledge of the system meant I wasn’t even watching any other teams rank 😂 it’s also interesting around an Italy, who are highly ranked, but will be in Pot 4 (if they qualify, because the draw is done before playoffs.

Suncorp Stadium has responded to safety concerns after Brisbane’s premier venue was physically shaking during the Broncos’ record-breaking preliminary final win against Penrith on Sunday.
But the stadium’s acting general manager Julie O’Keeffe allayed concerns about the stadium’s integrity and said it was designed to move.
“Stadiums, like most structures, are built in a way which allows them to flex,” she said.
