Listening to our Keynote speaker, Jesse Wente, and feeling prepared for my colleagues who are coming to learn more about Building Thinking Classrooms in Elementary Mathematics. Thanks @Jason_To and @mervisalo for helping to equip me for today. ☺️ #ETTFedDay2023

@booklamations @a_thompsonclass You both should be very proud of yourself! Congratulations. This would be a perfect addition to any early years educator professional bookshelf.

Teaching students about forces. Why not create a mini putt in your classroom with a metre stick and a ball. Our record was 3 strokes. #STEAM #Grade3

What do you do when you have less students in class because of an increase in Covid cases at your school? You build bridges! #structures

Tired of seeing the lost and found items in the school? Try putting them on display for families during entry in the morning. #mauricecody

Diyas represent enlightenment and knowledge. We did a google meet with a students mother who read a story about Diwali and shared how their family celebrates this holiday. She kindly donated clay diyas to our classroom that the students beautifully decorated.

@GlenforestSS Every school should have these! Can you share where you received these?

Please recycle your masks when leaving the school. We now have recycling containers at several entrances. We can all do our part to help the earth & reduce our eco footprint. Small steps can make a big difference. Imagine 1100 masks a day just from our school alone being recycled!

With sensitivity, respect and empathy you can engage learners in all topics. Don’t underestimate their schema and experiences. How do we include student voice in every learning opportunity? #OrangeShirtDay

How do we share with students the importance of feedback? There is an impactful video called Austen’s Butterfly that can start the conversation with students.
