Our new paper shows that parents are less likely to give their teens alcohol if they know it’s harmful and believe that most parents don’t supply it. But those who see alcohol as acceptable and socially beneficial for teens are more likely to supply. doi.org/10.1093/heapro…

Important perspective from @FredTingMD. I’m a big advocate for correct language and edit papers to remove “cancer patients” to be “people with” or “affected by” cancer. Intriguingly, I’ve been accused of engaging in “psychobabble” because of it! #SurvOnc jamanetwork.com/journals/jamao…

We used the Consolidated Framework for Implementation Research #CFIR to bring together perspectives. As screening continues to expand around the world, we hope this sort of theory-guided pre-implementation work can also allow international comparisons to be made. #LCSM

📰 Our new paper in @NTR_Journal (open-access accepted version now online, pretty pdf coming soon) doi.org/10.1093/ntr/nt… Australia’s National Lung Cancer Screening Program starts in 2025. Experts feel it will be essential to offer help to quit smoking, at the same time.
