There were all these things pre-internet I knew as a kid about Star Wars -- Darth Vader was a Sith, the emperor's name was Palpatine, Vader got that way from falling in lava -- that was never said anywhere in the original movies so I never understood how we all knew them.

“What if Boba Fett was a likable guy” was a perfectly serviceable pitch for an adventure of the week type show. “What if the actual Boba Fett was a bored, elderly local bureaucrat” was a little stranger.

it’s a good bit that instead of just making a boba fett show, disney made a show about a new guy who is exactly like boba fett and gave him a show. then they also made a boba fett show. and that show crossed over with the show with the new guy. it’s just good brand strategy.

I’ve seen #TheMandalorianAndGrogu! Above all else, M&G is a super FUN Star Wars movie. It’s not perfect, but there’s a lot for fans to love. It plays like an extended episode with double the budget and moves from one incredible action set piece to the next. IMAX is a must.
