@nowak_paul is right: entering a bilateral customs union is the first step towards repairing our economy. This is especially the case for our exporting goods industies. Modern, high productivity sectors require intense specialisation and cross-border integration to succeed.

With Labour, the UK is rejoining the Erasmus Scheme. This will mean every young person has the chance to study or train abroad, no matter their background. The Tories made a huge mistake pulling us out of it. I’m glad our Labour government has put it right.
