@hayek_tendency None of these things were announced today though. Tbf to the PM, You would be surprised if a new PM waited until September to announce anything.

More of the same this morning from Burnham on #SocialCare Doesn't he seem nice. Doesn't he say nice things. Doesn't he offer absolutely no substance whatsoever. His big announcements: 1) we'll have a review (that's already happening) 2) we'll 'look at' the social care workforce 3) we'll talk to other parties about it Reviewing, looking, talking. Lots of questions. Zip all in terms of answers. Truly game changing stuff. Absolutely nothing new. Absolutely nothing different to what successive governments have said for years. More 'jam tomorrow' and no answers. But isn't he a nice man... 🤷🤦 His government is going to come unstuck very quickly.

Andy Burnham invites Kemi Badenoch and Ed Davey to a meeting on social care reform, but excludes Nigel Farage. He can snub Nigel all he wants, but he can't ignore millions of Reform voters. Reform UK has been leading every voting poll since 2025 and are now at 22% (@YouGov).

@PolitlcsUK I thought the Tories were serious about working together to fix social care? Of course not

@BrexitBassist Didn’t they achieve a worse result in the last local elections vs the year before? Ah, the by-elections, the ones they didn’t win!. Let’s wait and see, bookmark my response. Farage will lose to the bin and you lot will cry wolf

@nathanmac_d There is no proof he is ahead. With Reform there is proof with the shockwaves they delivered in the local and by-elections.

ANDY BURNHAM IS GASLIGHTING YOU!! He has the audacity to stand there and say the plan to stop the boats is “working.” Nearly 900 people crossed in a single week. Boats are still landing. Hotels are still full. Taxpayers are still paying.

@EssexPR If it was a right leaning MP sharing something similar you would be trying to defend the behaviour.. For the record what Polanski said was disgusting - I agree he should step down as leader. Actually he shouldn’t be an MP with views like that.

No arrest, but I think Polanski should be shamed & treated like any on the right would be. I personally think that he should have to step down as a party leader. If a right leaning MP shared something similar, they’d be calls for a resignation or a by-election. You know it…

Who on earth is still voting Labour? I genuinely don’t understand how some polls are showing Labour ahead of Reform. After everything that’s happened over the past couple of years, it’s hard for me to see why so many people would still back them. What am I missing? 🤷‍♂️

@MrsNickyClark All these remarks are generally coming from right wing Labour haters who spend all day on this platform condemning the left for doing what they do 😂

The weird thing for me about the commentary on Marie-France van Heel’s appearance this week, was I thought if they said anything it would be complimentary comments about her bum - AKA Pippa Middleton. But sadly I was wrong and some people are just abusive arseholes.

@Councillorsuzie If you think that the public have forgiven the Tories then you’re very deluded- You won’t see office again until at least 2040
