Some people didn't experience painful trials. They grew up in a more peaceful environment and matured more easily. As for me, my mind was preoccupied with survival, not growth. It's natural to feel like I haven't reached my goal yet... I was just trying to get through the hardest part. And that alone... was enough.. Some say I handled it well.. Nooo.. I didn't, I went insane.. I lost my sparkle when I suffered in the war... I shattered alone ..And wore a smile that lied better than any mask could.. I didn't handle it, I survived it..not because I was strong every day.. But because I had no other choice.. My dear friends, I'm still building the shelter. The mud has dried now, and I've contacted the blacksmith to build the shelter's frame... As you know, there's been no electricity in Gaza since the beginning of the war. My solar power isn't enough to run my welding machine, so I rented a generator and had to buy diesel. Unfortunately, fuel prices here are ridiculously high... Everything was missing, and it took hours of walking and searching continuously. I bought welding torch; they cost more than 15 times their original price. Unfortunately, screws and nails are sold individually, and the prices are ridiculous. I bought three door bolts; each cost $20, when they used to cost only $1 The pictures below show the shelter and suggest that it is simple... but believe me, my friends... I am working hard to make it look its best and be in good condition... I've already bought metal roofing sheets. After the structure is finished, we'll install the roof.. After the roof, I'll have to search very, very hard for a wire fence... I'm not sure I'll find one because the people in the tents used everything in the warehouses to separate the tents from each other in Gaza... When we get there, we'll look at and discuss alternative solutions, keeping in mind that resources are very scarce. Let's not jump to conclusions.
