🚨 Arne Slot: “I congratulate Arsenal on winning the league, Mikel and his staff did a tremendous job”. “But they have been a different champion than last time, it's first time in 30 years 40% of goals had from set pieces!”. ⛳️ “Luis Enrique said they are the best off the ball in our league — and I agree”.

Not even close to the best CB in the world this season. Positionally this year very poor, dives in, given away a lot of penalties, still gets away with a ton more (referee leniency). You’re blinded by bias from previous years. Beaten one on one often. He’s rapidly declining.
EBL@EBL2017

Liverpool wouldn’t be in Europe next season if it wasn’t for van Dijk. Plays every minute of every game to the highest possible level. Still the best centre back in the world. Just not obvious because Liverpool are often subpar defensively due to the lack of balance/structure.

"We lost two finals because of referees" Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola says he has "never trusted anything" with referees and VAR after a pivotal decision in the Premier League title race 🏆

@TikiTakaConnor Disagree. You can never state “unbelievable management” when it was his error in the first place that let the game get even. NEVER should’ve moved Rice out of the middle, was a terrible decision and could’ve been season defining. Rectified it sure - but dreadful initial decision

Mikel Arteta made some of the biggest calls he’s ever made today and he’s doing stuff I’d never expect. That decision to play Rice at right-back was wrong and he realised his mistake and switched it shortly after by bringing in Mosquera. He then substituted the substitute in Zubimendi because he was nowhere near the required level. Bringing in Odegaard who changed the match. Even Madueke for Saka was positive. Unbelievable management.

🚨 Arne Slot on boos from the fans: “That's probably got something to do with us not winning”. “A draw, in the last five games we won three, lost one, and today a draw. That’s not what we want. We want more and we want to win all five”.

Football needs a long look at itself, its Laws, its consistency of application, officiating standards and use of VAR when you can pull an opponent’s hair and get a three-game ban and go in hard on an opponent, endangering them, Keane on Doku, and get just a yellow 🤷 #EVEMCI

When the 2026 World Cup was announced for the United States back in 2018, I told myself there was no way I’d miss it. I was going to be there in person, experiencing a World Cup on home soil and I know so many of you felt the exact same way. Fast forward to now, and the ticket prices are completely astronomical. Outrageously unaffordable. What was supposed to be the dream of a lifetime has been priced out of reach for regular fans like me. I’m going to miss watching my country host the biggest event in sports… something I may never get to experience again in my lifetime. Yes, they’re going to make money off this massive event on U.S. soil. But the greed has gone too far. It’s ruining the beautiful game and turning it into something only the wealthy can enjoy. A World Cup should be for everyone not just those who can drop thousands without blinking. This is an absolute shame.
