U.S. Naval Academy

This isn’t your average college day.🪂 Midshipmen from the Parachute Team took to the skies, executing jumps from an CH-53E Super Stallion, gaining hands-on experience in real-world training environments. At the Naval Academy, the classroom is just the beginning.

Precision is built through repetition. ⚔️ The Brigade took to Worden Field for reps and sets, sharpening their discipline and refining every movement ahead of Friday’s first formal parade of 2026.

The USS Iowa recently anchored off the Academy offering tours for midshipmen, giving them a firsthand look into life in the submarine community. From touring the submarine to learning about the responsibilities below the surface, it was an invaluable opportunity. ⚓️

This past weekend, the United States Naval Academy Flight Team earned a decisive first place victory at the Inter-Service Academy Flight Competition held at Stewart International Airport, NY. FLY NAVY! ✈️

This past weekend the 4th Class (freshmen) midshipmen conducted a Saturday Morning Training (SMT) to compete for their starting spot for Sea Trials. Sea Trials marks the final training evolution of plebe year.

Last week was the Sponsor Appreciation Dinner, and midshipmen showed their gratitude by hosting their sponsors for dinner in King Hall. Thank you to all sponsor families for your selflessness and generosity throughout the year!

The Brigade of Midshipmen held the first outdoor Noon Meal Formation of the semester. A long-standing tradition on the Yard, it reflects the discipline, unity, and commitment that define the daily lives of midshipmen at the Naval Academy. 🇺🇸

Earned, never given. Midshipmen from across the Brigade stepped up for the MARSOT (Marine Special Opportunities Training) Screener, a demanding test of strength, endurance, and leadership. 🪖

Every detail matters. Twice a year, the Brigade of Midshipmen conducts the Alpha Inspection inside Bancroft Hall, a top-to-bottom room inspection designed to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and attention to detail.🧹

Midshipmen bound for the submarine community gathered with leaders from across the force to mark the beginning of their journey into the Silent Service. Congratulations to our future submariners as they prepare to take on this demanding and vital mission.

USNA hosted the annual Astronaut Convocation, bringing together distinguished members of the NASA Astronaut Corps for a panel discussion with the Brigade. The convocation continues a proud tradition of connecting the Brigade to a legacy that extends from the Yard to the stars.

This past week, midshipmen selected for the Medical Corps came together to mark an important milestone in their journey to serve. The evening offered time to build connections within the community before heading to medical school. Congratulations to these future Navy doctors!

Alumni Hall came alive as midshipmen stepped into the ring for the 85th Brigade Boxing Championships. A long-standing Naval Academy tradition, the event showcased the composure, accountability, and resilience that define the Brigade. 🥊

Congratulations to our FY-25 Junior Sailor of the Year and Bluejacket Sailor of the Year and other awardees. These Sailors exemplify initiative, accountability, and unwavering dedication to mission accomplishment. Bravo Zulu on a job exceptionally well done.

Leaders from government, industry, and the U.S. Naval Academy recently gathered in Baltimore to mark a significant milestone in maritime innovation: the keel-laying of NightTrain, an autonomous logistics vessel developed by BlackSea Technologies.

Last week we recognized the Midshipmen of the Class of 2026 who have been selected to the Civil Engineer Corps (CEC) and the Supply Corps. These officers represent the "Engineers of the Fleet", and the "Business of the Navy". Congratulations!

A big weekend for Navy athletics as four teams delivered victories against Army! Men’s and women’s track and field, men’s gymnastics, and the rifle team all earned wins, adding four more stars to the rivalry. 🌠
