Still experimenting with using a single visual production graph as the anchor for multi-shot storytelling in Seedance 2.0
• Paired it with a structured text prompt to define sequence, camera moves, and character consistency
• Used explicit spatial rules (door hierarchy + movement direction) to prevent scene resets and continuity errors

I CAN FINALLY BRING MY YASUKE TO LIFE
Using Seedance 2.0 Omni Reference, I can control the look of Yasuke, along with Oda Nobunaga’s army.
It's been wild constantly iterating on his look as new tools emerge.
Yasuke was an African man who became a trusted samurai warrior under the 16th-century Japanese daimyo Oda Nobunaga. He arrived in Japan around 1579 with Jesuit missionaries and was present at Nobunaga's death in 1582.

I really like those 2.5D characters
here's my Seedance2 prompt:
MANGA READER TURNAROUND
CHARACTER: Young Japanese man sitting cross-legged on the floor reading a colorful manga magazine, spiky messy black hair sticking up in chunky angular shapes, thick eyebrows, small round glasses, slight stubble, cross pendant necklace on a thin chain, wearing a loose open dark navy pinstripe yukata robe showing his chest, bare feet tucked under his legs, small ceramic ashtray with cigarette butts on the floor to his left, round ceramic pot to his right, focused slightly annoyed expression looking down at the magazine. 3D CG model with 2D hand-drawn overlay, scribble hatching in all shadow areas boiling every frame, thick ink outlines on silhouette edges redrawing with wobble, flat painted color textures on 3D geometry, color bleeding outside contour lines.
SEQUENCE [0s–5s] Character sits cross-legged holding the manga open in both hands, not moving, just reading. Camera begins a smooth continuous 360 degree orbit around him at his eye level. As the camera moves from front to three-quarter to side profile, the 3D model rotates cleanly revealing his full volume but the 2D ink layer on top lives and breathes, scribble hatching in the shadows under his jaw and inside the yukata folds and between his crossed legs redraws every frame with jittery boiling energy, thick ink outlines on his silhouette wobble and shift in thickness as the angle changes, the flat painted navy yukata wraps around his torso showing new pinstripe ink lines and fold marks at each new angle, his spiky hair reveals its 3D chunky volume from new angles, the manga magazine pages catch the light differently as the camera passes, cigarette smoke curls upward as loose scribbled white lines drifting gently
[5s–10s] Camera continues the smooth unbroken orbit past his side revealing the cross necklace hanging from his neck in profile, through his back showing the yukata fabric draped across his shoulders and the spiky hair from behind, past his left side and returning to front, the entire rotation fluid and steady, throughout the full 360 the boiling ink outlines never stop trembling on every edge, the scribble hatching in shadows keeps redrawing in slightly different positions each frame giving the whole image a living sketchbook vibration even though he holds perfectly still reading, the flat painted color planes on his skin shift between warm peach and darker shadow tones as new surfaces catch the light, the ashtray and ceramic pot on the floor rotate into and out of view naturally, white background
STYLE: 2.5D painterly CG. 3D CG geometry underneath for volume and smooth rotation. 2D Grease Pencil layer on top, thick wobbly ink outlines, scribble hatching in all shadows boiling every frame, flat painted color planes not smooth gradients. No photorealism. No smooth CG rendering. Muted palette dark navy warm peach black white. Film grain. Clean white background. Smooth continuous camera orbit.

❤️ Runway 🎧
About three months ago I did a deep dive into creating complex Runway workflows to support artistic ideation and visual exploration of characters and worlds.
When I re-emerged from my three week workflow frenzy I made this little video showing some of the custom apps (from those workflows) in action, but never got around to posting it. While talking with a friend of mine tonight they prompted me to share it as it might spark ideas for others, so here it is.
It's quiet and slow so most people won't watch it. That's perfectly fine with me, posting it anyway ✨
Runway workflows are wonderfully fun, and extremely powerful 🔥

@SoribeStella @magnific Thanks for the encouragement, I certainly will provide a heads up.
Tag me as well.

@nayloroadcr @magnific Makes sense! Looking forward to the finished work. Please, tag me!
English

@SoribeStella @magnific I do believe so--at some point gloominess helps with the character's portrayal & as for (color depth) is a style I like. But there's always room for improvements. Right now, I just want that joint to be clear lol. No shot-but working darker characters takes work at least for me
English

@SoribeStella @magnific When you say "Saturation" do you mean the depth of coloration?
English

@nayloroadcr @magnific absolutely, and it looks okay. But I don't know, the color.. idk, the saturation, is that what you want?
English

@SoribeStella @magnific Knowledge is power.
At some point, we all have to fight with AI to get what we want. This is one of those moments at least for me.
Your response is most appreciated.
Here's a run-gen and it looks to in the direction I like.
I've been using ChatGPT Image-2 for this workflow

English

@nayloroadcr Hi May, how are you doing? You're welcome!
Ouu, you just have to keep regenerating until you;re fine with what you have, and tweak it a little as well. I used Nano banana 2 on @magnific, so just keep refining.
English

@SoribeStella Wait, I asked too soon.
I see that you used Magnific
Did you upscale through it also
And did you at any point have to deal with warped image output?
I don't think I'm being perfectionist, I'd like to start with template w/ a detailed imaged though
here's mine in particular:

English

@SoribeStella Hi Stella,
How are you?
Hey thank you for sharing this workflow and for the google drive output.
I do have a question for you.
I'm working on an output myself matching the workflow but I'm haivng trouble with the image not being as detailed as I would like. How did you make yours
English

@GumVue Listen. I just want to say thank you for the knowledge share. (Moma said to tell people thanks).
I've working on my own projects and the character bible reference just makes workflow better.
I'm appreciative to you and folks like you that have been posting.
Enjoy-your-day
