I grew up reading magazines, the newspapers, actually engaging in the news with older people in my family. I am used to sharp incisive, challenging journalism, and it feels like we don’t have that because people are afraid to hurt people‘s feelings or lose access. It’s limiting.

But people ARE allowed to write whatever tf they want. It’s literally what happened.
And we’re allowed to call it out as nonsense. To point out misinformation masquerading as cultural analysis and critique. No one told the author to stop writing. We just said he wrote dumb shit.
