when ayt khamenei led namaz-e-jumah in october 2024 after the assassination of hassan nasrallah, he recited surah jumah in the prayer that day. surprising many in the subcontinent.

in iran, surah jumah is not usually recited in namaz e jumah. rather more emphasis is placed on a longer khutbah and a shorter surah is recited instead.
