@acaseofthegolf1 @PGATOURAmericas Ben previously earned conditional @KornFerryTour membership in 2023 yet required surgery for Mueller-Weiss Syndrome requiring him to miss the entire year. He asked every @PGATOURAmericas event for a sponsor’s exemption this starting the season. Not one event has considered him.

This might be one of the most unfortunate things I’ve seen in pro golf. There have been four @PGATOURAmericas events so far in Canada. In the first event Benjamin Shipp was first alternate, sat on range all Thursday and didn’t get in. In the second event Benjamin Shipp was the first alternate, sat on the range all Thursday and didn’t get in. In the third event Benjamin Shipp was the first alternate, sat on the range all Thursday and didn’t get in. Today….Benjamin Shipp was the first alternate for the FOURTH week in a row…Sat on the range all day today…and didn’t get in. Holy shit. Someone buy that kid a beer.

They push their own agendas, don’t want to upset their friends or people they do business with who are members. Benevolent dictatorship is the best

So chicken or egg, sir? Mid-tiers have a revolving door of mostly uniformed board members that shoot themselves at every turn and hire subservient (read: not alpha) people to run the operation. You are correct, to survive, they comply and look the other way. When these same board member/clowns visit a club where they have to walk on eggshells, they brag about it to their buddies at Texas Roadhouse. On a separate but related note, I can think of 40 Ross courses that could be renovated by Spence, Forse, or Silva, not drain the budget, and not turn out a woke product (Franz, Rae) that could move from current shit-hole to pretty stellar.

@KipHenley This is Cristobal’s swing now. The original was a few years ago. He has put in a lot of work but he was also a great college player at FSU. He won a few times on @PGATOURAmericas also.

@BillyHurley3 @PGATOUR That has been an issue for existing events. It’s been pointed out for years and ignored. With the launch of @PGATOURU it became an even more complex issue.

Biggest piece of the new PGAT sked is the addition of 4 Sponsors Exemptions for the newly created “Designated Events” in 2024. @PGATOUR needs to ensure that ZERO designated events are run by any organization with ties to player management companies. Else, collusion

@PackMensGolf While I didn’t play for Coach Sykes, I grew to love him as the Coach I wish I had played for. The relationship he had with so many of my friends who played for him is a lifelong bond I was always jealous of and admired.
