Accused was manufacturing & supplying ice candies and lassi in highly #unhygienicconditions, allegedly using #harmfulchemicals to make illegal profits and cheating the #public. Seizures worth ₹5,44,290 include: • 92 packets of ice candies (180 each). • 20 packets of lassi candies (210 each). • 300 lassi glasses. • 150 kg curd, 50 kg #sugar. • Ice candy & #lassi machines. • 6 #refrigerators, 3 #packingmachines. • #Citricacid (8 kg), #flavours, packing materials & more. #Case registered at Mehdipatnam PS (Cr.No. 83/2026) under Sections 274, 275, 125 BNS. Raid conducted under Addl. DCP Ande Srinivasa Rao with Task Force & Mehdipatnam Police team. Public advised to stay cautious about food hygiene & report suspicious activities.

Hyderabad: From a UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy… to repeated food safety concerns A major illegal bakery unit was busted in KD Colony, Gudimalkapur, where police say bakery products were being made in highly unhygienic conditions without a valid licence. ₹12.54 lakh worth of stock and machinery seized. Police arrested Ahmed Raza (46) and seized huge quantities of: • Maida, sugar, custard powder, palm oil, salt • Osmania biscuits, fan biscuits, rusk, chai biscuits, kaju biscuits • Butter buns, toast, bakery mix • Ovens, mixers, cutting machines and other equipment According to police, the products were allegedly being supplied to kirana stores, cafés, hotels and general stores, putting public health at risk.
