This is nothing but an attempt to browbeat UFBU. This is an attempt to divide the workforce in the Banks. We shall take up the matter during the next round of conciliation meeting. In the meantime, all our affiliates and members should remain united and vigilant against such attempts of the Government. @DFS_India

Today, the situation confronting the banking industry bears an unsettling resemblance to the conditions that prevailed seventy-eight years ago. The atmosphere is once again marked by uncertainty, with frequent reports of mergers, disinvestment, and privatisation dominating public discourse. In all these three categories, the name of our Bank also figures, posing serious challenges to its future and to the security of its workforce. At AIOBEU, we have always held the firm belief that without Indian Overseas Bank, there can be no AIOBEU, and that the defence of the institution is inseparable from the defence of the rights, dignity, and future of its employees. The present moment therefore demands heightened vigilance, disciplined unity, and renewed collective resolve, so that we may safeguard both our Bank and the proud legacy of struggle entrusted to us by our pioneers. @AIOBEU

Comrades, let there be no illusion, this is not the end but only a pause in the struggle, the real battle lies in strict implementation, continuous monitoring and relentless pressure, and if commitments are diluted or delayed the Union will respond with greater intensity, wider participation and firmer resolve, because history teaches us that rights are never granted voluntarily but are won only through sustained, united and militant struggle. @AIOBEU

Trade unions do not oppose work, production, or industry. They intervene when wages are unpaid, safety norms are violated, workers are dismissed arbitrarily, or fatal accidents are concealed or normalised. Demanding compliance with the law cannot be equated with stopping industrial growth.
