Trying to decide between living permanently in Bamenda or Limbe is stressing me out. It's like trying to decide between LA and Orange County.. No wrong decision but I need to make a decision.

This man asked his gf to come cook for his “grandma’s funeral”. She rallied her friends and they came and cooked. The “funeral” was in Nso. She asked for the fabric so she and her friends could sew and accompany him. He told her not to worry about following because Nso wasn’t safe. Brethren, the cooking this girl did was for her boyfriend to go and do “knock door” (introduction) for another lady. How she found out? This man’s junior sister came back from boarding school, saw pictures of the event with a whole different lady. When she eventually met the lady who did all the cooking, she asked, “Aunty Solange, so my brother did not marry but you?” I have 2 more of such stories. Some men are really wicked. Why can’t you just break up?

If Americans knew about palm wine, they pay $25 a glass at minimum. It can be drank before dancing, working out, going on a date, cooking, cleaning the house, couples therapy, hiking, breast feeding and beyond. Yes it goes great with Achu but the use cases are unlimited. I'm pretty sure Palm Wine, which has not alcohol in it releases oxytocin, which makes it a wonder drug that is all natural.

When I first spotted this staff, I thought to myself, “Oh, that’s freaking cool. I wonder if people actually earn those.” A few minutes later, King Abumbi, the Fon of Bafut, stood up, walked over to the Queen 👑 holding the staff, and asked everyone in the Youths and the Future line to stand. I had no clue what was happening, but I loved watching everyone respond instantly to the King’s direction. Then, moments after he began speaking, the staff was placed in my hands. I haven’t done anything to earn it yet—and I’m not even sure it’s something you “earn.” But I absolutely love it. It’s one of the most unique gifts I’ve ever received—if not the single most unique. I’ve never been treated with so much love in my life, other than from my mother. While I don’t yet feel I’ve earned the respect being shown to me, I intend to. For years I dedicated my life to this work with virtually no audience, but I now see that was all part of the training and refining—preparing me for the mission in one of the world’s most forgotten crisis zones: Bafut, Cameroon. People have asked me to take photos or videos of the conflict areas, and honestly, I’m not sure I will. I may not even share the day-to-day realities people face here. If that information is meant to reach the world, it should come firsthand from those who live it—not from me. Anyone who knows my story has applauded how I’ve handled adversity and never given up. But after just a few days here, I realize how easy my life has been in comparison. Even in my darkest hardships, I was blessed beyond measure. I’ve often said that once I found joy in suffering, I became free. Now I know there are deeper levels of joy—and far harsher forms of suffering. This staff—whether it carries official meaning or not—holds deep symbolism for me. It will keep my fire burning to complete the mission I came here for. I feel profoundly connected to this land, to Bafut culture, and I am in love with its people. Thanks for reading, Joshua The World's Mayor Vive le Cameroun! Strength in unity, forward we go! 🇨🇲

People want a partner, a spouse. But you don’t end up attracting someone amazing without appreciating the emotional turbulence that comes with weathering rejections, building the sexual tension that never gets released, and staring blankly at a phone that never rings.

This government is very funny for thinking that ITB is the cause of the unrest. They really take us to be fools.

Governor of Littoral Downplays Deadly Crackdown on Peaceful Protesters in Douala, Confirms Killing of Four The Governor of Cameroon’s Littoral Region, Samuel Dieudonné Ivaha Diboua has issued an official statement following the killing of at least four people during protests in Douala, portraying the demonstrators as violent agitators and blaming an unnamed opposition figure for inciting unrest. In a statement, Governor Diboua described the protesters as “drug-influenced” groups driven by “criminal intentions,” accusing them of attacking police and gendarmerie posts with the aim of seizing weapons. He expressed regret over the deaths and injuries, while insisting that the state’s response was aimed at preserving order, security, and national stability. However, multiple local reports and eyewitness accounts contradict this version of events, indicating that the protesters were peaceful citizens exercising their constitutional right to demonstrate against President Paul Biya’s decades-long rule. Human rights advocates and civil society leaders argue that the deadly response by security forces represents an unjustified and disproportionate use of force. Critics say the Governor’s statement reflects a long-standing pattern of government denial and repression in Cameroon, where authorities routinely label peaceful dissent as criminal activity. The official declaration made no acknowledgment of the protesters’ grievances—chiefly demands for democratic reforms and an end to Biya’s more than 40 years in power—nor did it call for accountability for the use of live ammunition against civilians. While the Governor pledged that “force will remain with the law,” observers also note that the events on October 25, 2025 in Douala underscore the shrinking space for civic expression in Cameroon and the growing risks faced by citizens who seek to peacefully voice opposition to the government. #MMINews #Elections2025 #tchiromabakary #Cameroon #FSNC

Urgent: Ateki Campaign Manager Arrested Amid Rising Political Tensions Fabrice Lena, campaign manager for Ateki, has been arrested in Bonanjo, Douala, amid growing political tensions in Cameroon. In a video shared online, Lena stated that he was detained “without a reason,” citing alleged injustices and falsification of documents. Known for his outspoken stance against electoral fraud, Lena was among the first to publicly support presidential contender Issa Tchiroma Bakary. The arrest comes as political intimidation appears to be escalating in the aftermath of the disputed October 12 presidential election, raising concerns over freedom of expression and political participation. #Cameroon #PoliticalTensions #ElectoralFraud #FabriceLena #IssaTchiroma #MMINews
