@ShivrattanDhil1 Too sad..So close on the heels of the loss of Hardy Sharma. And yes, can't understand the unseemly haste with which Mr Singhania left.

RIP Legend 🕊️Betrayal by a friend. A traitor. Like in the Army we say, “we leave no man behind.” The same spirit exists in motorsport you never abandon your own. But here, a rich brat chose otherwise. It was him that was driving the motorboat that night at 200 nautical miles per hour. confirmed by himself to the police While a legend was left behind in open waters, the support boat reportedly took Singhania to safety, carried two other female passengers, and then he flew back to Mumbai. He even refused to to provide his personal info to hospital when he was brought to felidhu for injuries. In the most critical moment, loyalty was replaced by self-preservation. This isn’t just a tragedy it feels like abandonment. Gautam Singhania hasn’t even given a formal explanation of what happened, despite being present at the scene. A legend gone, and questions that will never fade. Gone too soon! 🕊️ @SinghaniaGautam

It’s been over 30 hours, and one of India’s treasures of motorsport is still missing. Yet there’s no clear official report from the Maldives authorities. We’re also hearing that there were no life jackets on the boat. Mr. Gautam Singhania @SinghaniaGautam who was reportedly rescued immediately by a boat behind them, couldn’t save Mr. Hari Singh? That sounds difficult to understand and raises serious questions. The Maldives authorities and Mr. Singhania should clearly explain what exactly happened and release an official statement. I urge the national media to take this up on humanitarian grounds and push for transparency. 🙏🇮🇳 @PoliceMv @MNDF_Official

Pets have been evacuated from Abu Dhabi to Athens amid the Iran war. Many Greeks were trapped in the Middle East as they struggled to find airlines accepting of their pets. The government-organised a flight from Abu Dhabi carried 45 pets and 101 people

And to think this was once upon a time the most efficient and cool airline ! Still, it's not as erratic as Spicejet .

People keep complaining about @IndiGo6E ground handling so here’s my experience today at Khajuraho airport. Three check in counters open & manned but two refuse to accept passengers. Every one is directed to one counter manned by a trainee. As I am checking in I ask the counter supervisor why the other counters won’t accept passengers. “They are only for fast forward.” Me: I thought there was no fast forward any longer! “It’s not on the site but we do have it” Me: What do you get in fast forward? “You get priority baggage handling and priority boarding.” Me: If I had known I would have taken it. “You can still take it.” I hand over my credit card. He swipes it. As the luggage is being tagged I notice there is. no Fast Forward tag and ask about it. “ We stopped doing priority baggage handling for Fast Forward. It only gives you priority check in. “ But I had already checked in. I wouldn’t have taken it if you hadn’t told me about priority baggage handling . “I never said priority baggage handling.” Yes you did . I heard you. “Okay at least you can board any time you like.” I ask for the manager. The supervisor insists he never said anything about baggage handling. Manager: “I will not accept that my staff are lying.” But you think I am lying? He shrugs. The sum of money is small & the issue is minor. But given how much we have heard about the culture of lying in @indigo , firing one gora scapegoat may not be enough. The rot has infected the culture

Five step hotel pre-shower routine for those who wear glasses: 1. Step into the shower, squint to read labels - unsuccessfully. 2. Step out, wear glasses, step back in. 3. Memorise the sequence: left-shampoo, middle-conditioner, right-shower gel. 4. Step out to keep the glasses safely back. 5. Return… now to figure out how the shower knob works.

These animals can’t speak for themselves, so it’s up to us to speak on their behalf. Heartening to see Bachchan Saab using the power of his influence to send a positive message and support people doing such meaningful work in this space. #everylifematters #Straydogs #indies #RescueDogs

Behind every great performance on the world stage, there are sacrifices the world never sees. The night Sanju Samson asked me for pazhankanji in Mumbai… March 2. 7 PM. I received a call from Ikhlas, Sanju Samson’s manager and close companion. “Chetaa… the match against West Indies went brilliantly. He’s really happy. We’re in Mumbai now. It’s been over three months of strict diet meals… tonight he wants one cheat meal. Can you arrange some pazhankanji, fish, kappa and chammanthi?” Pazhankanji. In Mumbai. At 7 PM. 😄 I laughed and told him, “Pazhankanji may be difficult… but kanji, kappa and fish — consider it done.” I immediately called my friend Rassak Ikka, owner of Society Hotel in Mumbai. Without wasting a minute, he arranged kanji, kappa, fish curry, fried sardines, chammanthi and papad and had it delivered to St. Regis Mumbai. Moments like these remind me of something important. What the world sees on television is the performance. What most people never see is the discipline behind it. For months before a major tournament, Sanju switches off his phone, steps away from social media, and dedicates himself entirely to preparation. Quietly. Consistently. Without noise. Those unseen sacrifices are the real story behind the pride millions of Malayalis feel when he walks out to bat. ❤️ Yesterday evening, I received another call. “Chetaa… we’re in Kochi. Flying to Delhi in the morning. Can we come tonight?” Whenever Sanju is in Kochi, one tradition remains unchanged — dinner at RCP. We set up a small private table on the balcony. By 9:30 PM, Sanju, Charu, Ikhlas and friends walked in. What followed was a wonderful evening of food, laughter, and stories from the World Cup that never make the headlines. I’ve honestly lost count of how many times I’ve cooked for him. But every time still feels special. Now the next chapter begins — IPL. When the yellow sea roars at Chepauk, Sanju will walk out not just as a cricketer, but as someone who represents the dreams of countless young athletes. From the streets of Thiruvananthapuram, where a young boy once held a bat and imagined a future, to the world stage today it has been an inspiring journey. The world sees the scoreboard. But greatness is built in the quiet hours no one talks about. Wishing you the very best, Sanju. Go rule the IPL. @ChennaiIPL @IamSanjuSamson

This needs to be said: We are at Jim Corbett and apparently there is no restriction on loud music till 10:30pm in the night. The roads are full of cars speeding around, at least 30 jeeps plying in one area of the forest, you can see brunt land on both sides and massive tree felling. So guilty of attending a family wedding here, I cannot say. There’s one I skipped because I didn’t want to be a party to destroying the habitat of animals. But why is Uttarakhand government allowing weddings in a forest reserve? I know my tweet will have zero reaction but Please tag the concerned agencies when you read this. @ukcmo @uttrakhand24 @AniUttarakhand

They spent years showing off their Dubai lifestyle. The moment it got dangerous, they abandoned the one thing that loved them unconditionally. After Iranian missile strikes hit the UAE in early March 2026, thousands of expats rushed to leave Dubai. But as flights filled, a quieter crisis unfolded: hundreds of pets were abandoned. Dogs were found tied to lamp posts, left in empty apartments, or dumped near shelters already at capacity. Rescue volunteers reported being overwhelmed. One said she received 27 messages in a single day from owners asking her to take their animals. Vets were flooded with requests to euthanize pets whose owners couldn't or wouldn't take them. Rescue groups like K9 Friends Dubai and War Paws called the situation heartbreaking, especially in one of the wealthiest cities on earth. The crisis drew sharp criticism toward influencers and expats who built entire brands around luxury Dubai living but left their animals behind without a plan when things turned dangerous.
